First row of the year!
After a brief period of not working out, I decided today I had to get back in to the fitness routine regardless of the fallout it may cause with the neighbors. Luckily I had no issues and I suspect these new foam mats from Target helped with that.
Maybe they weren't even home though, I don't know and don't care frankly. For rowing, I like using the EXR app for a sort of gamification aspect, otherwise workouts can be quite monotonous on the rower. (Especially without music or something to listen to.)
I aimed for 5000 meters today and achieved that in 21 minutes, 9 seconds. I wasn't aiming for the fastest time though, I was more so just aiming to get back into the swing of a consistent cardio routine, seeing if a minimum of 5000 meters would be a good starting point or too much (as I have a tendency to do). In the future I'll be doing different types of rows, interval training, endurance trainings, and incorporating full body and strength routines alongside the rower. The sky is the limit really.
My split times for today are relatively consistent even toward the end, I tried to keep them consistent without blowing my body up too hard on the first full row of the year. It was tough toward the end but in time that'll become easier.
Now its off to do The Odin Project training.
Onward!
